You say things like “It wasn’t meant to happen” or “The universe must have other plans.”
This stuff helps you check off when things don’t go the way you want them to…
On the other hand they handcuff you to an idea that you don’t have ownership over your directionality.
I once worked with a client, an author, who poured everything into her book launch. PR. Interviews. A full campaign.
Seven days in, she’d sold 3 books at her events in New York City.
It was brutal…an unexpected for her + her team.
She could have folded. She could’ve told herself, “Maybe this wasn’t aligned,” and walked away.
But she didn’t. She regrouped. She made a new decision.
Instead of quitting, she took the work offline. She turned her book into a course. She sold it directly.
And that’s when it finally started to sell. She wrapped the materials with the same lessons but just a different delivery.
Because she didn’t make failure mean “stop.”

This is something I see constantly.
Most people know what they want. They’ve done the mindset work. They’re clear on the vision.

The refusal to claim what’s already theirs.
The fear of holding power unapologetically.

“My nervous system says no”—when what’s really happening is your body is exhausted from holding containers that pay too little and take too much.
“I trust that the right clients will find me”—but you haven’t said anything bold enough to filter the wrong ones out.
