When I quit scaling my business, I made the most money.
Not because I understood a better model.
But because I finally saw the part of me that was building everything from survival.
The only strategy I had to implement was capacity.
You see… the more money I made the more pressure I felt to scale it, keep it and grow it. Then I realized it’s not the income that makes you feel safe… it’s your nervous system.
Money just amplifies your state.
If you’re unregulated at $3,000 you will feel absolute chaos at $30,000….
I genuienly trusted myself to stop proving, over-giving, and making every offer a performance.
The shift happened when I hit $30K months—but I built a business I quietly resented.
I held clients I didn’t have the bandwidth for.
And I poured myself into containers that made me feel needed—but never nourished.
That was the breaking point.
And the turning point.
Here’s what actually changed:
1. I stopped selling what drained me.
I had an offer that sold well… but I secretly hoped people wouldn’t buy.
It was built from pressure. Priced from guilt. Delivered from obligation.
The shift?
I cut it. Then rebuilt a container that required less of me—but landed deeper with clients.
No over-access. No proving. Just clarity, clean pricing, and potent delivery.
Outcome:
I sold less. I made more. I genuienly felt energized the moment inbounds said yes.
2. I stopped attracting “almost” clients.
Before, I used to get clients who said “this is so me”… but were slow AF.
They weren’t bad clients—
But they needed handholding. Constant reassurance.
They messaged often, and needed convincing after the sale.
And I kept adjusting. Explaining. Over-supporting.
Because part of me still thought I had to earn their commitment.
And I kept softening to accommodate them. The shift happened when I stopped making my offers easy to digest. That was just reflecting their scarcity onto me.
So I started building offers for the woman I was becoming…not the one I was afraid to leave behind.
Outcome: The “almosts” fell away.
The ready ones came faster, cleaner, and paid without hesitation.
3. My nervous system is programmed to actually hold + receive more.
I remember counting my highest income month… and instead of feeling abundance… I sat in the chair of scarcity.
I felt restricted…instead of feeling like I had more than enough… I couldn’t harmonize or normalize the number.
You can’t sit in two chairs at the same time.
Not because the work was too much—but because I still equated money with responsibility. Emotional labour.
I’d over-access. Over-explain. Overextend.
Then spiral into needing a break I never gave myself permission to take.
The shift happpened when I stopped selling anything I wouldn’t want to deliver in a low-energy week.
I rewired the belief that “more” requires me to suffer for it.
Now I look from my goal.. not AT my goal. (There is no seperation, no gap between you + your desires).
Outcome:
I hold more without leaking.
The more my nervous system is regulated… the more my income scales.
4. I finally feel obsessed with my business again.
Before, I’d spend days going on calls and feel dread after. I wasn’t burned out—I was disconnected.
Now I’m building a business with different access levels. The more access you need… the bigger the container.
When I announced my no calls business… Some people loved it + bought… because they realised that’s what they craved as well. Some did not like it. And that’s brilliant.
I stopped selling from strategy.
And started sharing what was real, just like I am here - before it’s perfect.
Outcome: My writing landed harder.
My offers closed faster.
And I stopped wanting to burn it all down.
If you wake up every morning to a business many would kill for…. $20k, $50k, maybe even $80k+ in monthly revenue…. But really you crave a business that doesn’t require you to over-function, over-give, or over-explain just to feel worthy of the money…
